    NBASLH Student Travel Stipend

    The NBASLH Executive Board is pleased to announce that again this year four Travel Stipends in the amount of $250 are available for the 2015 Convention. Deadline for submission: February 15, 2015.

    NBASLH Student Research Award

    The National Black Association for Speech-Language & Hearing (NBASLH), invites students to submit a research paper to its scholarship competition. Two candidates will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship during the annual NBASLH Convention. The recipient will also receive a $100 travel stipend to attend the Convention and present their paper. Deadline for submission: February 15, 2015.

    *This grant is sponsored by Pearson. Pearson provides a variety of assessment and intervention materials for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and related practitioners, including the new CELF®-5, PLS™-5, PPVT™-4, EVT™-2, and Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation 2.

    Progressus - NBASLH Supporting Career Growth Through Mentoring Scholarship

    Progessus Therapy and The National Black Association of Speech-Language and Hearing (NBASLH) are proud to announce the Progressus - NBASLH Supporting Career Growth Through Mentoring Scholarship. The $2500 award is funded by Progressus Therapy, the national leader in school based SLP, OT, and PT services. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduate student whose primary career goal is to provide services to children in school or early intervention settings following graduation and who identifies the importance of strong mentoring relationships to prepare for the role and responsibilities necessary. The award consists of a $2,500 honorarium to be used for educational / clinical expenses (e.g. books, clinical materials or equipment, tuition or related expenses). To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in an ASHA accredited Master's program in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology).
