The NCRAR conference, "Ototoxicity and Noise Damage: Translating Preclinical Findings to Audiological Management" to be held September 25-27, 2019 in Portland, OR.

This conference is unique in that it will facilitate sharing, teaching and learning among and between scientists, audiologists, professionals from other health care disciplines, health policy makers and affected patients, so that they can more effectively work towards solutions to reduce the burden of hearing loss for the individual and society.

Conference objectives are to enhance knowledge of the underlying damage from ototoxicity and noise overexposure in relation to auditory deficits, models for symptom development, current approaches to evidence-based treatment and patient-centered management, and to discuss how this knowledge can be translated into future clinical and pharmaceutical interventions.

    • Early registration ends on August 25, 2019.  Pricing: $250 for VA/DoD/NIH and students, and $300 for all other registrants. Pricing for all registrants increases to $350 on August 26, 2019.
    • Poster abstracts and scholarship submissions are due by July 8thth.
    • Conference format includes data-driven presentations; patient testimonials; a poster session; panel and breakout discussion sessions, and student-focused activities. In addition, the conference schedule will provide opportunities for networking with colleagues over breaks, and during an informal evening event. Both ASHA and AAA CEUs will be available.
