    Hi,

Thank you for the invitation to introduce myself.

My name is Elizabeth Daly. I am a speech pathologist. I work clinically in an acute care hospital, but outside of that role, I am the vice president of E2 Scientific Corp.

In 2019, I launched E2 Scientific Corp with my business partner who is a near 20-year survivor of head and neck cancer with severe dysphagia, after developing the Tongueometer device.

The Tongueometer is a handheld lingual manometer that pairs to a free downloadable that shows, stores, and can send assessment and exercise data remotely. Our goal was to create a tool for dysphagia rehab that is affordable and accessible to clinicians and patients.

What I like about the speech pathology field is the diverse opportunities that I've been exposed to. For nearly a decade, I've been able to practice clinically, lead a nonprofit patient-advocacy organization, and develop a tool that hopefully has and will benefit patients and clinicians.

Looking forward to meeting other ASHA members in this community.

    Thanks!
    Elizabeth

Hello there! My name is Deborah Komatsu. I'm a speech pathologist who works with elementary-aged students in a Los Angeles charter school. In addition, I have a business called Automated SLP, which helps speech pathologist write better, faster, and legally compliant reports.

I also make websites (primarily for those in helping professions) with my business Komatsu Web Design

    Hi Deborah,

You are amazing! I would love to hear more about your business Automated SLP! I have been working on finding a way to start my own business within the field. Also, i'm working on my website right now through a free resource but would love some guidance and would love to brain storm ideas. As I have many, but haven't yet found the outlet and support to dive right in. I'm located in the Los Angeles area as well. Closer to San Bernandino but willing to travel halfway to meet up at a coffee shop or park! Hope you're having a great weekend so far!
