My name is Jacqueline Brown. I am a full time Assistant Professor at the University of New Haven. For the past four years I have been working on identifying the ways in which we can support the professional development and growth of speech-language pathologists. If you are a school-based SLP who is currently working in (pre) K-12, please share this link with your supervisor/evaluator- this can be your principal, special education supervisor or SLP supervisor. The goal of this work is to build recommendations for those who supervise and evaluate certified SLPs in school based settings so that they can better support the development, growth, and opportunities for advancement for these professionals. Evaluation systems have long been in place with the goal of developing educators, but how can we fine tune these to meet the needs of SLPs? My goal is to answer this question.
