Today is the day!
The ASHA CLC invites you to participate in an "online chat" today, Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 12 noon to 3 pm ET to discuss ways to prepare yourself for leadership AND how to get involved in leadership for the professions.
This chat will be conducted in the ASHA Leadership Academy online community discussion board. During the designated timeframe, members of the CLC and ASHA Governance Staff will be available to chat/respond in real time. And the discussion can continue even after the specified time frame.
The charge to ASHA's Committee on Leadership Cultivation (CLC) is to "oversee leadership development efforts, cultivate future Board of Director leaders, and provide broad strategic coordination of all leadership development efforts to ensure a strong pipeline of diverse, talented, qualified, and willing candidates for all committees, boards, and councils".

How does the online chat work?
We send out a topic pertinent to members of the association. Members of ASHA's Committee on Leadership Cultivation and ASHA Staff will be available to field member questions during a block of time on the date of the online chat.

Not near a computer? Not to worry, you can receive notifications through email AND reply directly to the group by email!

*Do I need to be present the whole block of time?
No way! The beauty of the online chat is that you can be a part of the discussion between seeing clients, on your lunch break, or even after the chat takes place. The discussion will be saved as a thread on the ASHA Leadership Academy community.
