Hello all!  I wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone about the ethics requirement for CCC holders.  There are some great courses in the ASHA Learning Pass to fulfill this requirement.  I think an interesting ethical dilemma that popped up this year was regarding patient abandonment.  Businesses and practices had times when they were closed for the pandemic.  We can all benefit from learning about how we dealt with patient abandonment issues and are working our way back to normal.

Good idea!  That would also be a great topic for a session at an ASHA meeting or a state association meeting.

For those of you attending convention in-person, the Ethics Education Subcommittee of the ASHA Board of Ethics will be presenting two one-hour sessions on Ethics, one focused on Audiology and one on SLP.  We hope you can join us for one of these presentations.  Not only will the sessions be informative, they will fulfill the requirement for ethics education for your CCC.

"Let's Talk About Ethics and AUDIOLOGY" on Thursday 11/18, 4:00 – 5:00 pm

    "Let's Talk About Ethics and SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY" on Friday 11/19, 9:30 – 10:30 am

    Kind regards,

    Margot
