Do you want to elevate your teaching of CSD science and improve student learning? Plan to attend ASHA's Teaching Symposium on Foundational CSD Science Courses, Innovations in Teaching and Learning: Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences being held online May 17-28, 2021. Learn how to integrate evidence-based, high-impact teaching and active learning strategies into your teaching and course design!

The teaching symposium is a 2-week, online event during which attendees will gain knowledge of current best practices, develop plans for transforming their teaching, and create a learning community of CSD science teaching faculty. It is designed for faculty at any rank (including full-time, part-time, adjunct), doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows who teach or plan to teach foundational CSD science courses such as the following:

    • hearing, speech, or language science
    • anatomy and physiology, neuroanatomy, or neuroscience
    • phonetics, acoustics, psychoacoustics, or speech perception/production
    • any CSD course with a strong science foundation

There's no registration fee; however, all attendees must pre-register for the event. Registration opened February 1, 2021. The teaching symposium is offered for up to 1.5 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level; Related area).

For more information about the teaching symposium program, speakers, courses, and how to register, visit www.asha.org/events/teaching-symposium. Please share this opportunity with your colleagues!
