In accordance with best practices for credentialing, it is time again to conduct the Audiology Practice Analysis which was last conducted in 2016. Once again, the Practice Analysis will be a joint study conducted by the Council for Clinical Certification in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CFCC) and the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA). The results of this study inform each council and ASHA of any revisions to the certification standards, the Praxis examination, and validate any revisions to the knowledge and skills identified in the Curriculum (3.0A) standards for accreditation.

Practice Analysis studies are accomplished by a panel of Subject Matter Experts ("SME Panel") composed of ASHA-certified audiologists who represent the diversity in the field of audiology, particularly in the areas of expertise, work setting, and years of experience,

The CFCC and CAA are seeking volunteers to be a part of this panel. During this one-year commitment, participants will participate in an in-person meeting on October 8-9, 2022, as well as several 1–2 hour virtual meetings to facilitate the in-person meeting, finalize the survey, and review the survey's results.

The application may be accessed at https://ashaforms.wufoo.com/forms/z1fm949h08hicgb/

We look forward to receiving your application to participate as an SME in this important study by Friday, June 3, 2022.

If you have any questions, please contact Todd Philbrick, ASHA's Chief Certification Officer at tphilbrick@asha.org.
