    This is the time of year that AuD students begin applying for their fourth year externships.  As we interview these students, it made me wonder, what are some traits you look for in our future leaders?

    That's a great question, Faith!  I look for a candidate with demonstrated intellectual curiosity, a learning and growth mindset, someone who has shown that they can reflect on past experiences and grow from them, and humility.  Curious to hear from others!

    I would like to see the candidate present with thirst for knowledge, conscientiousness, openness to constructive criticism and diverse ideas/experiences, positive attitude toward life and work, and finally, self-efficacy in all aspects of life.
