    School-based speech-language pathologists (SLPs), you're invited!

The ASHA School Services in Speech-Language Pathology team is hosting a free virtual town hall series in 2024. The first event of five happens on March 6 at 7-8:30pm ET. The Compensation Conversation-What SLPs in Schools Need to Know About Negotiating Salaries event focuses on strategies to improve salary and compensation. School administrators are also welcome to attend.

SLPs earn 1.5 professional development hours (PDHs) for participating

Panelists come from school districts of all sizes across the country. They will share their experiences and ideas to accomplish goals like these:

    • Get a salary increase

    • Achieve a salary supplement or stipend

    • Negotiate a separate salary pay scale for SLPs

    • Get reimbursement for professional certification and licensure

    • Earn financial support to attend relevant professional development

A certificate of attendance will be provided at the end of the live event. Participants can use these PDHs for certification maintenance and must track them.
