Thank you to those who participated in the "ASHA and NEA Virtual Town Hall: Partnering With Teacher Unions to Improve Working Conditions for Schools."
During the event, there was an overwhelming interest in forming a group to continue the conversation and share information and resources. To that end, ASHA has created this new Community to provide you with a platform to do so.
Although this site is still under construction, it is currently open to all who are interested in keeping the conversation going from Wednesday's virtual town hall. Many participants shared how they engaged with their unions to affect change, whereas others were seeking strategies to improve communication and collaboration with their unions. We hope that this forum provides an opportunity for school-based members to share information and connect on this issue.
