Proposed Changes to the ASHA Certification Standards
The Council for Clinical Certification in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CFCC) has long supported ASHA's efforts to increase cultural competency and diversity, equity, and inclusion within our profession-including the recent update to ASHA's Envisioned Future 2025. The CFCC recognizes the benefits that are derived from cultural competency and in supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) for clients/patients, students, and our peers and colleagues. These have been a requirement in the standards for initial certification since 1993 but have never been required to renew/maintain certification.
The CFCC is requesting your participation in a peer review survey about changes to the certification maintenance requirements. Comment on the CFCC's proposed changes to certification standards by completing the survey for audiology or speech-language pathology by February 3, 2021.
If you have any questions about this survey, please contact CFCC@asha.org.
