Dr. Geralyn R. Timler serves as a Professor and Director of the Social Communication and Language Evaluation (SCALE) Lab in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at James Madison University. Her research interests focus on social communication and pragmatic skills in preschoolers and school-age children with neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., developmental language disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism). Dr. Timler’s work has been published in Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in the Schools, American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, Seminars in Speech and Language and Topics in Language Disorders (TLD). Dr. Timler served as the coordinator for the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association’s Special Interest Group 1, “Language, Learning, and Education" and on the ASHA Journals Editorial board.
